Yes, whoever drives the buggy needs a valid car driving licence. Passengers do not need a licence. The buggy tours in the hills depart from the Aeródromo do Cerval, in Vila Nova de Cerveira, and are always accompanied by a guide.
No, you don't need a boat skipper's licence: the jet ski tours on the Minho river are accompanied and include a safety briefing before departure. The activity departs from the Vila Nova de Cerveira pier, next to Praia da Lenta.
The minimum age is 12 years for the Speedboat and the Water Sofa. For the Buggy and the Jet Ski, the minimum age must be confirmed at the time of booking. Minors may only participate when accompanied by a responsible adult.
Yes, children can ride as passengers on the buggy, as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driving licence. The 2-seater buggy carries one passenger and the 4-seater carries up to three.
MinhoXtreme is located in Vila Nova de Cerveira, in the Alto Minho region. It is about 1 hour from Porto via the A28 or A3 motorways and about 30 minutes from Vigo (Spain), crossing the Vila Nova de Cerveira–Goian bridge. It is close to Caminha, Valença and Melgaço.
The Buggy costs 70€ (2 seats) or 100€ (4 seats) for 75 minutes, and 130€/190€ for 135 minutes. The Jet Ski costs 50€ (15 min), 85€ (30 min) or 120€ (45 min). The Speedboat costs 30€ per person (30 min, minimum 4 people) and the Water Sofa 15€ per person (15 min, minimum 3 people).

If the weather or river conditions are unsafe, the activity is rescheduled at no cost. For cancellations by the customer, we ask that you contact us as far in advance as possible.
For the buggy, wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty and closed footwear. For the river activities (jet ski, speedboat and water sofa), bring swimwear, a towel and sunscreen. A life jacket is provided.
Yes. All activities include a safety briefing and supervision by instructors. Life jackets are provided for the river activities and goggles are provided on the buggy tours. MinhoXtreme is a licensed operator (RNAAT no. 118/2024).

The buggies run all year round; the jet ski, speedboat and sofa ride only run in summer. We recommend confirming availability for your chosen date at the time of booking.
